One NIght Camping at Mana Road Cabins

Big Island Off-Road is happy to announce that we have the honor of spending a weekend at the Bunkhouse cabin on Mana Road! For those that have never been on Mana Rd it is a real treat! For those that experienced the fun, its time to do it again! Beautiful landscapes, mudding, wheeling or just chillin at the cabin. The Bunk House Cabin has 20 metal cots to bring your mattresses on and this wont last long. First come first serve. If you make a reservation to go and cant... please delete your confirmation. You must confirm that you will attend to have a spot in the cabin. However all are welcome to hang for a day and relax at Mana Road Cabin site. Bring something warm, food, drinks and anything else you can think of. Also no electricity so bring source of light. Firewood is highly recommended as we have a wood burning stove inside cabin. Place to cook outside and it is roofed.

We will be leaving Saturday morning from upper Matsuyama Food Mart at 8:30 am

The Cost is $5 a person to cover the permit fee and will be collected upon arrival. Also will need to be sent your ID and full name to record on permit as it is mandatory. You can message us with confirmation and info

Situated halfway up the eastern face of 13,803-foot Mauna Kea—between the dormant volcano’s sweeping cloud-level koa and ohia forests and wind-whipped alpine summit—the rugged and remote 40-mile mountain road and unique landscape it traverses are little known even by longtime Big Island residents. For anyone adventurous and equipped enough to challenge its rutted, sometimes mud-caked length (mountain bikers, hunters, anyone with a four-wheel-drive vehicle), however, Mana Road offers some of the most uniquely breathtaking, if rarely seen, panoramas of flora and fauna in Hawaii.
